On the left is my old man and my youngest child Barry . He started Pacific Loan in 1952 at Third and Mission. At that time, there were only 4 pawn shops in San Francisco. In 1988, we moved to our present location at 55 Sixth Street.
This is John, my right hand man who is a loan officer and is responsible for most of the record keeping. Of this, there is a great deal- as every record of every loan, every sale, every purchase, has to be accurately recorded into our computer network system and backed up every day. But that's just part of it- there is also
a written record that has to be maintained for each transaction. John has 22 years of service and is an expert appraiser. His specialty is sporting goods. |
